“How painful it is. Look at yourself. How do you talk to Bilal Bhai as your brother, your brother.”
“Yes, I fix it because your brother has made a mistake.” He said chewing one word at a time.
“It is not a sin to make a mistake. It is not a crime to marry someone you like.”
“Yes, why should it matter to you. She is not your sister.”
“Accept whatever your heart desires.” She turned away with a stern face, so he clenched his fists and started looking at her back.
“Then what is your relationship with me? At least I don’t consider myself the person who mocks my sister by calling her unlucky.” His tone was very serious and bitter.
“She is lying,” she shouted at his misrepresentation.
“You are lying.” She gritted her teeth and looked at him for some time.
“باجی کو کارڈ دے کر تم کیا ثابت کرنے گئی تھی۔بڑا کارنامہ سرانجام دیا ہے تمہارے بھائی نے۔”وہ اب حیرت سے اس کی طرف مڑی۔
“ایسے کیوں بات کررہے ہو۔”وہ پریشانی سے بولی۔
“اور تم کیسے باجی سے بات کرکے آئی ہو۔تم نے باجی سے کیا کہا کہ بلال بھائی سے ان کی شادی نہ ہونا ان کی قسمت تھا اور تمہاری خوش قسمتی ہے کہ تمہارا منگیتر تم سے محبت کرتا ہے۔وہ تمہیں کبھی نہیں چھوڑے گا۔”
“میں نے اس طرح نہیں کہا تھا۔”
“جس طرح بھی کہا تھا کیوں کہا۔تم میری بہن کا مزاق اڑانے گئی تھی۔تم اور تمہارا بھائی خود کو سمجھتے کیا ہو۔جو چاہے کرو کوئی پوچھنے والا نہیں۔”وہ اس کے سر پہ کھڑا چیخ رہا تھا۔اب اس کی حیرت غصے میں بدل گئی تھی۔
“تم خود کو کیا سمجھتے ہو۔جب چاہے مجھ پہ چلا سکتے ہو۔تمہاری بہن جھوٹ بول رہی ہے۔”
“بکواس بند کرو۔”وہ غصے سے بولا۔
“اپنی دفعہ کتنی تکلیف ہوتی ہے۔تم خود کو دیکھو۔کیسے بلال بھائی کو تمہارا بھائی تمہارا بھائی کہہ کر بات کرتے ہو۔”
“ہاں ٹھیک کرتا ہوں کیونکہ تمہارے بھائی نے غلطی کی ہے۔”وہ ایک ایک لفظ چبا کر بولا۔
“غلطی کی ہے گناہ تو نہیں۔اپنی پسند سے شادی کرنا کوئی جرم تو نہیں۔”
“ہاں تمہیں کیوں فرق پڑے گا۔وہ تمہاری بہن جو نہیں ہے۔”
“جو تمہارا دل چاہے سمجھ لو۔”وہ تنے ہوئے چہرے کے ساتھ منہ موڑ گئی تو وہ مٹھیاں بھینچ کر اس کی پشت دیکھنے لگا۔
“تو پھر تمہارا مجھ سے کیا رشتہ ہے۔کم از کم میں تو اس شخص کو اپنا نہیں سمجھتا جو میری بہن کو بدقسمت کہ کر اس کا مذاق اڑائے۔”اس کا لہجہ بےحد سنجیدہ اور تلخ تھا۔
“وہ جھوٹ بول رہی ہے۔”وہ اس کی غلط بیانی پہ چیخ کر بولی۔
“جھوٹ تم بول رہی ہو۔”وہ کچھ دیر دانت پہ دانت جمائے اسے دیکھتی رہی۔
