“آپ تو بڑی سے بڑی باتیں برداشت کر لیتے ہیں یہ ذرا سا سچ برداشت نہیں ہو رہا۔”اس نے اس کے سینے پر ہاتھ رکھ دیا تھا۔ اس نے شہرزاد کو ایک جھٹکے سے خود سے دور کیا وہ اس کے اتنے سکون اور اتنے یقین کو دیکھ کر پاگل ہی تو ہوا تھا لیکن یوں لڑکھڑا کر بیڈ پر گرتے وہ ذرا سا کراہی تھی اور پلٹ کر باہر جاتے جاتے رُک گیا۔ اس کی پشت پر ہلکا سا خون کا دھبہ دیکھ کر وہ چونکا تھا کیوں کہ اس کی کمر پر ترچھی سی لکیروں پہ تین چار خون کے نشان تھے۔ وہ جھک کر ان داغوں کو چھونے سے خود کو روک نہ پایا۔
“یہ داغ یہ زخم کیسے ہیں۔؟”مکتوم حیرت زدہ ہو چکا تھا لیکن وہ یوں ہی اوندھے منہ گرے سسک اٹھی تھی۔ وہ اس کے زخموں کو چھو رہا تھا۔
“شہرزاد میں کچھ پوچھ رہا ہوں یہ سب کیا ہے یہ نشان کیسے ہیں۔” اس نے جھٹکے سے اسے کندھوں سے تھام کر سیدھا کیا اور ۔اپنے سامنے کر لیا تھا۔
“جب میرا کڈنیپ ہوا تو میں نے کھانا پینا بند کر دیا تھا اور جب میں نے تین چار روز کچھ نہیں کھایا تو وہ عورت جو مجھے کھانا دینے آتی تھی اس نے ایک دن مجھے چھڑی سے مارنا شروع کر دیا۔” وہ ہچکیوں سے بتا رہی تھی اور مکتوم کا دماغ ماؤف ہو گیا۔ وہ بے یقینی سے دیکھ رہا تھا کے اس نے کیسی کیسی اذیتیں سہی ہیں۔
