میں لفظوں کے تیر اس کے وجود میں اتارتے ہوئے ذرا بھی نہ ہچکچایا تھا۔اس کی کیا حالت ہورہی ہے میں نے نہیں دیکھا۔مجھے صرف اور صرف اپنی دلی تسکین سے غرض تھا۔قسمت کے ستارے گردش میں تھے ایک وہ وقت تھا جب کبھی ہمارے گھر میں فاقہ ہوتا تو میں چپکے چپکے خدا سے دعا مانگا کرتا تھا کہ وہ ہمارے ماموں کے دل میں رحم ڈال دے۔مجھے معلوم تھا کہ میں ساری عمر ان کی ظالمانہ بےالتفاقی کبھی نہیں بھلاسکتا۔
“اب یہ سوگ منانا چھوڑو اور اٹھ کر میرے صبح کیلیے کپڑے پریس کرو۔میرے رومال جرابیں اور ٹائیاں ایک جگہ پہ رکھو۔میرے تمام شوز پالش کرکے رکھو ورنہ جو ہوگا اس کی ذمہدار فقط تم ہوگی۔۔۔ناؤ سٹینڈ اپ۔۔”
میں بہت سرد لہجے میں اسے احکامات سنارہا تھا سمجھارہا تھا۔اس کے اٹھنے سے پہلے ہی میں واشروم کی جانب بڑھا پھر کچھ سوچ کر اس کی جانب پلٹا۔
“اور آئندہ میرے استری شدہ کپڑے میری واپسی سے پہلے باتھ روم میں موجود ہونے چاہیں۔”
اگر امی میرے اوپر اسے فوقیت نہ دیتی تو شاید میں اتنی سنگ دلی سے کام نہ لیتا مگر اب تو میری انا اور میرا غصہ عود کر آیا تھا شاید اپنے اسکارپین ہونے کی وجہ سے۔تبھی اس کی دبی دبی سسکیوں کی آواز سے اندازہ ہوا کہ وہ کپڑے استری کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ رونے کا شغل بھی جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔
“جب میں مطالعہ کررہا ہوں تو مجھے مکمل خاموشی چاہیے ہوتی ہیں۔اسی لیے اگر تم نے رونا ہی ہے تو بغیر آواز کے رو۔”میں نے سنگ دلی کی انتہا کردی اور اگلے لمحے اس کی سسکیوں کی آواز بندہوگئی۔
